Scandal – Billy The Kid – Black Men Speak
I was not sure what direction Scandal was going in. After the assassination attempt on Fitz I wasn’t sure if Shondra would be able to top the suspense and intrigue of that specific story line. However as I have mentioned on numerous occasions she is a masterful writer and last night’s episode proves why FB and Twitter feeds are off the chain every Thursday.
**NO SPOILER ALERT…Kind of**
I am going to tred lightly regarding who the mole is because I’m not sure who is reading this. From personal experience I hate to know what’s going to happen before I see it. My initial suspicions of Charlie being the mole were only half right. Olivia and her Gladiators, Cyrus and the White House staff were all stumped. Out of the shadows comes this character who holds the Defiance disk and will most definitely be the bain of everyone’s existence next season. When you find out who the mole is you will flip and you may have to back track a little.
When I first got into this Phenomenon known as Scandal I was extremely curious as to why the show was so popular and why my FB timeline was hijacked every Thursday. I became a fan instantly. However I have my reservations about the writing. With all the glitz and glamour that is Olivia Pope this story essentially focuses on a woman who is in the midst of a love triangle. At this point it might be a square or a polygon.
It does concern me a little that this powerful woman of color is involved in this relationship where she essentially is the “side-piece”. To be honest the story line is not that simple, however on the surface Olivia is involved with a married man and by most accounts this behavior is immoral and objectifies her.
When it comes to Scandal fans I would not fit the usual demographic. I have even seen posts on FB that say “If you are a man watching Scandal go kill yourself.” That’s harsh. Lately I have been seeing a surge of Black men who have so much commentary about a show they don’t know much about. Many take issue with the fact that Olivia is giving these “side chicks” hope and that she is running into the arms of these white men and that it’s not ok.
This whole Thomas Jefferson sleeping with his slave girl narrative has some truth to it. I must admit that Olivia does get on my nerves at times. She dumped the brother to run into the arms of this married man. It can seem extremely ridiculous.
I am not one who discounts the power of the media over the people. The videos we watch and the music that we listen to affect us on a deep level. In “Post Racial America” this type of story line should not be an issue, but its causing a stir among the brothers. Depending on how you look at it it could be good and bad. I happen to think we can learn a great deal from it.

Whats Really Going On!? What is Right With Us!?
Tuesday was such a strange day. I wake up and check my facebook and all I see are pictures of this beautiful infant who is six months old.

This child is yet another victim of this rising murder rate in Chicago. I make a concerted effort to avoid this news because of how it makes me feel. I feel like we are being attacked by negativity everyday and not watching the news is not enough anymore. We have to shield ourselves from a constant barrage of bad news. Fast Forward >>>>>>>>>>
So…. Im at work Tuesday and its just like any other day. Im helping customers and kind of going through the motions, just another day. Of course my co-workers are discussing this horrible tragedy that I have been trying to avoid and I try my best not to comment on it. I never do.
The day continues…faxing…answering the phones…being corporate….work. Occasionally I may hear someone speaking on their cell, sometimes they talk LOUD!! Today this “young lady” was in the vestibule talking REALLY LOUD and saying every curse word you could think of to whomever she was having a conversation with.
Security approaches her and asks her to step outside if she is going to speak so loudly…She calls him a name and then says F U as she goes outside. Then she comes back in as if she is about to be serviced. She was escorted out.
I’ve had conversations with many people concerning this energy that people seem to be emanating. For some reason it seems as though negativity is fighting for its life and people seem to gravitate towards it so easily. Why is it like this?
The reason I blog is to speak my mind and represent a voice that is working to turn the tides and tip the scales when it comes to how powerful we truly are. It is up to us to make a choice and not buy into this low energy.
Speak words of power, be kind to people, embrace the spirit of love.
When you pay to much attention to media in general you will be bombarded with BS. Its time to be selective and deliberate. Speak Life Into This World and see the world Change. We are blessed. Thats right.

What should the sequester mean for you?
Remember being bombarded with the term fiscal cliff and how it would be bad if we fell off of it? Well….according to this recent conversation about the sequester, would it be right to say we fell off the cliff?
I have been listening to A LOT of talk radio lately. I tune in for a few different shows like “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me!” “Sound Opinions” and a few others. When I’m listening on my way to work the programs are highly political and the main focus most times is economics or politics.
The new buzz word is sequester. From my extensive study of talk radio and news broadcasts on talk radio… Ha!….The sequester means that many programs that assist a large portion of our population will be cut and essentially affect our nation.
Eh…I don’t know about you….but I see this another way. I see this as an Amazing opportunity to excel. There is an unstoppable force that allows and compels us to continue to reach higher, go farther, and be Great.
We are the experience and we have the ability to shape and mold it.
Sequester is a word like, prosperity and greatness are. I figure if we have a choice that I should choose to use the words that empower me.
Sequester?….What does that even mean anyway?………

Scandal….Fitz HAS GONE MAD!!!
Ok…It’s been a while since I posted about Scandal and my deduction was only partially right. Huck DID NOT shoot Fitz…however it wasn’t Hollis Doyle as I suspected. It was the Judge (Verna Thornton)….DUN DUN DUN!!
The past few weeks have been a roller coaster Fitz wakes up out of a coma just as the vice president and Hollis are making a play for the White House. Then he finds out that Verna tried to have him killed and that he was only president because his inner circle including his mistress Olivia Pope fixed the election for him. So as a result of this he kills Verna, reconciles with his wife, dumps Olivia and becomes an alcoholic. WHOA!
Fast forward 6 months and Fitz doesn’t trust anyone, he is ignoring his advisor Cyrus, Americans have been taken hostage and he is using his friend to stalk his ex-mistress with government resources.
Yeah…The president has officially gone crazy
Of course Olivia is heartbroken in the midst of all of this. She turns down a proposal from Edison thinking Fitz is going to divorce his wife for her. Yeah…that didn’t happen. Olivia is such a high powered character who still succumbs to the quest for love. Ahhh…. Love.
Part of me wants to feel sympathy for Olivia. Another part of me is saying “That’s what she gets.” No matter how much they make me want to hate the president’s wife Mellie the fact never escapes me that Mellie is his wife. Olivia is officially the side-chick and she knows it for sure now.

Precise is BUSY!!
2013 has been exciting year for me. Amazing projects are on the horizon. Lets go down the list.
1. Ladies Love Mixtapes Ep
This will be released the spring of 2013. This project was inspired by relationships. This seven track..(at the moment) Ep is a loose story about a relationship between a man and a woman. This is a project that focuses on the start of a relationship to the start of a relationship. My intention was to create a project that had some type of loose narrative that would cater to women’s sensibilities and be more inclusive with respect to rap music and Hip Hop as a culture.
The bulk of the production is done Tye Hill. Eddy Lamarre and Crankz from Poland also provide solid production.
The lead single “Take Our Time” produced by Tye Hill is a smooth laid back track that is an introduction to the project and sets the stage for the rest of the Ep. Feel Free to Listen/Buy the track below.
2. The Guild A Hate You Can Trust
I collaborated with some of Chicagos best talent to create a project called “The Guild. A Hate You Can Trust” This project is the brainchild of Marshall “Mars” Lindsey and Dj Kwest On and is inspired by the Cartoon Network Animated Series on Adult Swim called The Venture Brothers.
This project enlists the talents of Nicole Sampshon (singer), Sean Ace (producer/rapper) and Cya (rapper) who form Brown Audio, Jus cuZ (producer/rapper), and Vision 77 (producer) and yours truly Precise… Check the Promo Below
3. The Anti Skinny Jeans Lp
I am super excited about this project. The Anti Skinny Jeans Lp is the brainchild of rapper/producer Rkitech from Long Island Ny. He has produced for notable artists such as Mary J Blige, EPMD, Redman and a host of others.
This project features the likes of Keith Murray, Buckshot, Hakim from Channel Live, Prime Meridian and ME…Precise. The lead single called “Back to the Basics” Ft Rkitech and Hakim fro Channel Live provides some good insight as to what you should expect. Check the video below.
