The journey began for Eddy Lamarre, the lyricist who would become Precise. Chicago native Precise developed his skills from his experiences as a child attending his father’s band rehearsals. His father was guitarist and saxophonist in a local band. “Growing up in a Haitian household, music was always prevalent,” Precise recalls.
He started off as a DJ but always knew he wanted to rap. After competing in a talent show at Olive Harvey College in Chicago, the judges Producer/DJ Terry Hunter and Armando gave him great feedback. These comments gave Precise the encouragement and confidence to pursue his dream. Upon meeting aspiring artists Chris Rice a.k.a. “Ideal” and Victor Moore a.k.a. "Creole", they formed the group Nubearth. As a group, Nubearth toured in Chicago and regionally. They had the opportunity and memorable experience of opening for Common at Northern Illinois University.
This preparation was building Precise the ability to express himself musically, lyrically and command the stage. The stage is a natural setting for him to entertain and perform, the messages through all of these experiences. Precise’s influences range from hip-hop legends KRS-One, Rakim, Slick Rick, Black thought of The Roots, Guru of Gangstar and Mos Def were instrumental in shaping Precise’s style as a lyricist. “I would describe my rap style lyrical substance drawing from the original blueprint of the hip-hop culture,” Precise states.
Besides, hip-hop Precise also attributes musical greats as Sting, George Benson, U2 and Gangstar. Precise selected his name from Gangstar's single “Precisely The Right Rhyme”.
After being featured on a children’s educational CD “Mind Games”. He completed his first solo project titled My Life. The lead single “It’s On Me” off of the upcoming release of the same name, has an uptempo old-school feel that has become popular among DJ’s domestically and internationally.
In 2014 he released "Ladies Love Mixtapes" a project focused on relationships. It was recognized by the Chicago Reader as one of the best projects of the year.
“My belief in God and knowing that he has given me a gift to share with the world has helped to overcome that doubt. I have no fear.” - Precise

On any average day in the midst of living, my attention is pulled in multiple directions.
There is a meme that’s floating around the interwebs that reads in effect, that as long as you don’t take the steps to realize your dream you will be working for someone else helping them achieve theirs.
Many times I find myself thinking about the current happenings of the day. I make a conscious effort to avoid them; however having this phone in my hand can be the gateway to loss of focus and being deliberate. It can stop me from progressing.
It can also be a tool to help me focus. It’s my choice.
Everyday we are drawn away from the most important source that should be receiving our attention.
This moment is an opportunity for all of us to gain a clear perspective and move forward into our good. As we embrace our greatness we begin to filter out what may be hampering our growth. When we are present we become more aware of forces that may cause us to stray from our path. Do not be swayed.
We have a duty to ourselves and the universe to maximize our time and live our purpose. It is within our purpose that we add on to the good of our lives and the lives of other. Eliminate toxins of negativity doubt and hate. Surround yourself with people who know their true power.
We will continue to prosper and grow because this is what we are ment to do. Believe in who you are and Thank God for who you are.
Stay Focused – Positive and Productive

On 1- 4-13 a few of us were invited by Monique Spence to take part in Burning Bowl held at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago. Burning Bowl is an event where people gather at the beginning of the New Year to symbolically burn away all the circumstances holding us back and we write a letter to God making requests and asking for change in our lives. The letter is saved and mailed back to you six months later as a check point to see where you are at the half way point in the year.
I am happy to say that I am right where I need to be and everything is LOOKING UP!!!
We are in the midst of a shift right now and it is not an accident. Peoples sensibilities are changing and we are recognizing who we are. The power is in our words and our actions. Declare change in order to see change. We are not afraid to tap into this power we have given by the creator. We deserve the best. We deserve happiness.
Reading my letter six months later reaffirms what I know to be true. We are loved and provided for and we dont have to worry about a thing. Take action NOW! Find that place of peace and create. Be inspired and observe the universe moving in your favor.
How has the last six months been for you? What do you want to change? Leave a comment, like the blog, share. :-)
Kerry Washington pulled a Shug Avery this week “She’s Married Now!” My plans were to deliver some information regarding another character…but uhhhh…thats not gonna happen.
Congratulations Kerry Washington – Asomugha. :-)
Kerry Washington is an amazing actress and has appeared in various movies throughout the years. Her portrayal of BroomHilda Von Schaft in the controversial Quentin Tarrentino film “Django” adds to her resume of great work. Her performance as Nikki Tru in the Chris Rock film “I Think I Love My Wife” is my favorite. She was a powerful, seductive and sultry woman trying her best to get Chris Rock’s character to cheat on his wife. Without giving away any spoilers lets just say that Chris Rock was having a difficult time staying faithful. Her power of persuasion rivals only that of Olivia Pope.
Kerry’s portrayal of Olivia Pope is sexy, confident and vulnerable. Not to mention the fact that SHE IS SO FINE!!! DANG!…….Ok… let me get back on track…The moments when she introspective and vulnerable are the times when I understand the depth of Olivia. This powerful woman who has the ability to wreak havoc on the most powerful government in the world and has everything that a person could possibly want still desires one thing. She wants to be loved. I understand that. I can relate to that. This is probably why the affair she is having with Fitz touches the fans so deeply. So many are in search of love with such a passion that they will overlook immoral and unethical behavior to have love. No judgements. :-)
Some of Kerry’s best moments are when she delivers her range of the emotion with just one look.
When we last saw Olivia she officially kicked Fitz to the curb (Yeah Right) and he went and laid his head on Mellie’s lap asking for forgiveness.. (Whatever)…lol. Im sure these two will find themselves in some computer room somewhere in the White House again. Maybe they’ll get really creative and pledge their love on the White House lawn. Whatever happens she is going to have to answer A LOT of questions. The cameras are on her this time and the media will be focused. I expect Olivia to be her own client for the bulk of next season. And who knows, maybe Kerry being a married woman will affect her portrayal of Oliva….hmmmmmm.
So…do you think married life will change Olivia? What do you like about Olivia? What do you hate? I would love to know. Leave a comment, like the blog and share. :-)
I found myself having to do that a few times today. I know what it means to be centered and I know that we ultimately have control over how we feel, but its so easy to get swept up by emotion.
I have been guilty of this a lot lately. Sometimes I find myself trying to pawn off the way I’m feeling on what someone else has said or done to me. That’s the biggest cop out.
What’s important to remember is that we have dominion over all things, including our feelings. We don’t have to feel bad if we don’t want to. We have to remain in a state of appreciation and be grateful for life.
It definitely takes practice. Yes I’m talkin bout practice…HA! Practice makes perfect.
So right now I’m feeling Amazingly Awesome Truly Grateful. I appreciate my life and all the goodness that comes to me NOW!!!
Another week without SCANDAL and yet this week has been full of scandal. The trial of George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin is being broadcast daily. The state that you live in can change the voting laws without federal approval. If you live in Texas you will need a voters id to cast your vote. Gay Marriage has not been embraced by everyone yet rights are being recognized. Alex Hernandez a former New England Patriots football player is under investigation for allegedly shooting and killing a friend. Annnnnnnd…Paula Deen has managed to become the most famous racist cook we have ever known. Then guess who she hires to get her out of this fiasco….JUDY SMITH!!! If you dont know who Judy Smith is check the blog I wrote a few weeks ago.
Art truly does imitate life and I would not be surprised if one of the situations mentioned above turns up as an episode of your favorite television show. If this was an episode of Scandal, Olivia would have her gladiators hit the pavement. Her most loyal and complex gladiator Huck would be gathering information and playing enforcer at the same time. Imagine him tapping into Paula Deens cellphone calls. I bet you would hear the secret recipe to her famous macaroni and cheese with a few N words dropped in the mix…HA.
Guillermo Diaz is the actor who plays Huck. His resume is extensive and diverse. He has been cast as everything from a gangster to a drag queen. Many of the characters that he portrays have a love for ganja, the sticky icky, loudpack, marijuana WEED!! Refer to the movie “Half Baked” alongside Dave Chapelle and his recurring role on the aptly named SHOWTIME series “WEEDS”. Guillermo has worked with Dave Chappelle on a few different occasions One of the most memorable was as an employee of PopCopy a spoof of FedEx Kinkos on the Chapelle Show.
With a penchant for comedic roles its interesting to see how Guillermo embraces the character of Huck and makes the audience feel for him. Its actually pretty amazing because Huck kills people for a living and still manages to show he has a heart. Only a skilled actor can convey that type of complexity.
We left Huck at a crossroads during the last few episodes of SCANDAL. After being subjected to water boarding and locked in a trunk for a few hours he seems to have lost his passion for being an assassin. I’m expecting something to force his hand in upcoming episodes so he can go back to his killing ways, or maybe he will retire and start selling weed in Colorado. Either way Im sure the fans will love him and wont be mad at him if he tortures the next meddling villain with a drill. I know one thing is for sure I bet Paula Deen wishes she had Huck on her side to kill all this attention she’s getting.
Do you like Huck? What do you think about him being an assasin? Share. Like this blog and leave a comment below. :-)
Father knows best. In Olivias case, Father knows EVERYTHING.
Rowan played by Joe Morton surfaced towards the end of the season barking demands and pulling strings all over Washington. He has everybody who is anybody in that town in his back pocket. He’s the boss of the assassins G16. He orders Cyrus around and knows about everything that is going on with Fitz and his daughter Olivia. He seems to be running something. What is he running? What else does he know? Where does he come from?
I have my own answers to those questions. I will address them later. Lets talk about Joe Morton the actor who plays Rowan.
Joe Morton has been acting for over 40 yrs and has stared in a vast array of movies and television shows. He stared as Hal Marshall on the hit show “Sanford and Son” and played the same character on the spinoff called “Grady”. I had no idea Grady had a spinoff. Good Googly Moogly…lol He went on to play the Brother (Alien) from the cult classic “The Brother from Another Planet” He was also Dr. Miles Bennett Dyson from “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”. I could go on and on with a list of characters that Joe Morton has played. Its a long list. However one character stands out to me and provides me with great background when it comes to my imagination and the origins of Rowan.
Senator Byron Douglas III from a Different World is Joe Morton’s most memorable character in my opinion. Check out one of my all time favorite moments in television.
After watching this I think I know exactly where Rowan came from. Rowan formerly known as Byron (BYRAAAAAAAAN) for all my Tyler Perry fans, HA!..Anyway…After Byron gets left at the alter he is too embarrassed to be seen and he leaves town changes his name and becomes a spy for the CIA. As a result of his exemplary work during the Gulf War, the Monica Lewinsky scandal with President Clinton, The East Coast West Coast beef and Affirmative Action he was promoted to head up the super duper top secret G16.
He started hearing stories about his daughter in the streets and knew it was time to put the hammer down..then….BOOM he is in the limo with his daughter and they are going to have a heart to heart.
Well.. thats what I think happened…lol. Im sure Shonda Rhimeshas her own thoughts.
Im looking forward to see what Rowan and Olivia are going to discuss. Are you?
I want to hear what you think. Like the blog. Leave a comment. :-)
