grammynewartist

The 2017 Grammy nominations are here and for the first time in history, the Recording Academy have made streaming only recordings eligible for Grammy consideration. This bodes well for many independent artists across the globe. Chance the Rapper is one of the first to benefit from this with a host of nominations. Chance has been nominated for Best New Artist and six other categories.

Chicago has major representation. Kanye West has 8 nominations and BJ the Chicago Kid has 3.

Needless to say Feb 12th at The Staples Center is going to be a big night for Chicago.
