Drake pretty much Kanye’d Cardi B ala Taylor Swift at the VMA’s with the surprise release of his song and video “Nice For What’. It’s like he said “Yo Cardi, I’m really happy for you Imma let you finish but right now I’m dropping one of the best videos of all time.” I have no idea who is on the OVO marketing team but they deserve a raise. Just one month ago Drake was lamenting “God’s Plan” and passing out One million Dollars. Today he did what he does best. He cakes for the ladies and they love him for it.

The video for “Nice For What” directed by Karena Evans is star studded and a nod to the #MeToo movement showcasing powerful women in the entertainment industry.   Olivia Wilde, Misty Copeland, Issa Rae, Rashida Jones, Jourdan Dunn, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Lejonhjärta, Victoria Lejonhjärta, Letitia Wright, Bria Vinaite, Emma Roberts, Syd and Michelle Rodriguez all make cameos. The most visible woman in the video is Lauryn Hill who doesn’t make a cameo but is the voice you hear consistently during the song.
